Watch: "Drive" movie stars in Tel Aviv
For the first time in history, Bollywood movie scenes are being shot in Israel. Israel’s Tourism Ministry collaborated with Indian film industry professionals to bring the cast and crew of the Hindi action comedy “Drive” to Israel.
The Bollywood movie, starring Sri Lankan actress Jacqueline Fernandez and Indian actor Sushant Singh Rajput, is expected to expose Indian viewers to Israel’s attractions and encourage Indian tourists to visit the country.
The film is being shot on Tel Aviv’s boulevards and in the picturesque alleyways of Jaffa’s Old City. The movie revolves around stunt drivers turned getaway drivers, who use money stolen in a high-risk robbery to take a trip to Tel Aviv- the city that never sleeps and is known for its nightlife, beaches and parties.
The stars visiting Israel for the first time expressed their excitement over seeing a country about which they’ve heard so much. “I’m going to come back with my gang of friends,” said Rajput enthusiastically.
