Israeli Tal Schvartzman is a senior animator at Dreamworks studios

Israeli Tal Schvartzman is a senior animator at Dreamworks studios. He’s worked on Ice Age II, Shrek, Kung Fu Panda II,  At age 34, Schvartzman says it’s like a dream come true. He is in part responsible for several cultural icons.

He says that working on Shrek was an unbelievable experience.  It all began in third grade when Tal saw his first animated film in Israel. His mother helped him write to Disney studios asking how one becomes an animator, and they answered him.

Schvartzman now lives in Los Angeles and works with the stars.  He worked with Jack Black and Angelina Jolie on Kung Fu Panda. He’s now back in Israel giving animation workshops to young Israeli animators. He hopes that one day a home grown animation industry will develop here.
