The hidden meaning behind the Purim story
Tel Aviv: Hundreds to participate in annual Purim Zombie WalkHundreds of "undead" marchers are expected to storm the streets of Tel Aviv in what has become an annual celebration of horror.
Tel Aviv's annual Zombie Walk, certainly one of the more bizarre Purim traditions in Israel, is happening this weekend, Saturday March 11, at the corner of King George St. and Ben Zion Blvd.
If you happen to be visiting Israel during the holiday, you'll be able to see hundreds of marchers dressed as the zombie version of some of the most popular Purim costumes. The participants usually like to scare innocent bystanders, so be prepared.
The event will begin at 9:30 p.m., and according to its official Facebook page, can last anywhere between half an hour and two hours.
