Mimouna: A North African farewell to Passover and where to celebrate in Israel

As Passover comes to an end tomorrow night and Jews around the world once again embrace leavened bread, North African Jews celebrate Mimouna. The celebration is filled with traditional songs, lots of drinks and food as far as the eye can see. If you’re in Israel, these are the best places to celebrate in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

The traditional North African Jewish celebration of Mimouna held on the last night of Passover is something everyone should experience at least once. As Jews around the world say goodbye to Passover (and matzah), North African Jews throw a huge party with traditional North African music and lots of drinks. But most important of all is the mufletta: a crepe made with flour and water and usually served with honey or jam. So, if you’re in Israel tomorrow night (Monday) or Tuesday, here is a list of Mimouna celebrations to attend in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
