Aroma with reduced prices coming to Ben-Gurion Airport: Just NIS. 5.60 for espressoAfter offering surprisingly low prices for coffee, the Aroma café chain has won the tender to operate two coffee houses at Ben-Gurion Airport. A cup of cappuccino, or a croissant, at the new locations will cost just NIS 7.
The Israel Airports Authority announced on Sunday that the popular Aroma café chain was awarded the tender to operate two coffee shops at Israel’s Ben-Gurion Airport. The coffee houses will be located in the arrivals hall in Terminal 3.
These Aroma locations will offer coffee at discount prices, charging only NIS 5.60 for an espresso coffee and NIS 7 for a cappuccino, the same price they will charge for a croissant. In addition, a bottle of mineral water will cost only NIS 5.60.
The prices to which Aroma has committed are 30% less than those required by the tender. The Israel Airports Authority had received several bids from other well-known coffee chains, including Arcaffe, Ilan’s and Cup O’Joe.
Every year, about 17 million people pass through the arrivals hall at the airport. However, airport officials believe that the number will increase to about 23 million in the coming year.
