American footwear company Skechers has announced its expansion in Israel and its goal to open six more stores in the country by 2020.

Skechers is one of the best-selling shoe brands in the United States. Its shoes were sold in Israel in the past by its regional distributor, MGS Sport Trading. In 2016, Skechers and MGS jointly founded Skechers Israel and redesigned the Israeli stores to fit them to the international brand.

Adi Moliov, the general manager of Skechers Israel, said, "Throughout 2018, the Skechers chain intends to continue to establish its status in Israel and to complete its new strategic plan by adding six more stores across the country. By the year 2020, we are expected to have a total of 20 stores."
