Facebook has unveiled a new VR system called Oculus Go, which is set to be released early next year.

The mobile headset can be used without being connected to a computer or a mobile phone and will be cross-compatible with all of Samsung Gear VR's titles. At just $199, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg called it "the most accessible VR headset yet."

"When we run up against the limits of reality, VR is going to make our reality," Zuckerberg said at the Oculus Connect conference in San Jose.
