Google warns users: Do not open Google Docs links in emailsAccording to an official announcement made by the company, a phishing scam via links to Google Docs is being investigated. The company called on its users not to open the links and to report them to Gmail.
Yesterday (Wednesday), technology giant Google warned its users around the world of a malicious link that pretends to lead to Google Docs, which could actually extract personal information from their computers.
The company said in a statement that it is investigating large-scale reports of e-mails sent from familiar e-mail addresses asking the receiver to read a Google Docs document.

"We are investigating a phishing email that appears as Google Docs," said a message posted on Gmail's Twitter account. "We encourage you to not click through, & report as phishing within Gmail."
