Should Obama release Jonathan Pollard?

Published On: Dec 19, 2012

Benny Begin, son of late Prime Minister Menachem Begin, was just one of the Likud princes who were voted off the party ticket in recent primaries

Dan Meridor and Michael Eitan were two of the others. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said publicly that he will continue to consult with them, possibly even naming them government ministers in the upcoming cabinet. Those who were voted in were young, and largely far right of center. These include Danny Danon, Tzipi Hotobely Ze’ev Elkin and Moshe Feiglin. Ministers Gidon Sa’ar and Gilad Erdan were the big winners taking the number one and two spots. Following them were party veterans Silvan Shalom, Yisrael Katz and Rubi Rivlin. The Likud list is significantly different than the list a decade ago.
