MK Ariel calls for government to invest more in North and less in Israeli Broadcasting CorporationDuring the Galilee Conference which was held at Tel Hai Academic College, Israeli politicians and professionals discussed the government’s plan to decrease socio-economic gaps. “The North and the Galilee must get a turn,” MK Ariel added.
Today (Tuesday) during the Galilee Conference held at the Tel Hai Academic College, Israeli politicians and professionals discussed whether or not the government can fulfill its plan to decrease socio-economic gaps between Northern Israel and Central Israel. During the discussions, Israeli Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Uri Ariel (Ha-Bayit Ha-Yehudi) criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: “If our government and its leader invested as much time as they did regarding the Corporation, this turnaround would have occurred long ago.”
“The North and the Galilee must get a turn in population growth, employment, education, roads and culture,” Ariel added. Israeli Periphery, Negev and Galilee Development Minister and Interior Minister Aryeh Deri (Shas) said at the conference that “if they do not check the implementation of the government’s decision about the North, nothing will advance. Therefore, we must always continue applying pressure.”
Participants who attended the conference include government office heads and Knesset Members Yigal Gueta (Shas), Yifat Shasha Biton (Kulanu), Bezalel Smotrich (Ha-Bayit Ha-Yehudi), Meir Cohen (Yesh Atid) and Eitan Cabel (Zionist Union).
