This hydrological year, which ends at the end of September, will most likely be one of the worst years ever recorded in Israel. New data released by the hydrological department in Israel's Water Authority shows that the lowest amount of water flowing into the Sea of Galilee was recorded last month.

According to the data, the amount of water that flowed into the Sea of Galilee was about 26 million cubic meters less than the amount that flowed out of it. The previous lowest record was recorded in August 2014.

The statistics also indicated that the water supply from the Dan River declined last month compared to August 2016 and the multi-year average during this period. In addition, the Banias spring showed a decrease in water flow.
