Hadassah crisis: Parents quit mediation over Health Minister's failure to arriveThe parents of children treated for cancer at the Hadassah hospital announced they were withdrawing from the mediation process, which was launched only two days ago.
The parents of cancer patients at the Hadassah Medical Center announced Thursday evening they were withdrawing from the mediation process, just two days after it began by order of the Supreme Court.
Attorney Eliad Shraga, who represents the parents, said Health Minister Yaakov Litzman had failed to attend any of the mediation meetings, instead instructing his representatives to reject every offer that is brought up.
"It is unimaginable that while our children are in danger, the minister doesn't even bother to attend such an important mediation process," Shraga said.
Earlier on Thursday, Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon announced his decision to join the mediation team, led by former Supreme Court Justice Elyakim Rubinstein.
