Former Supreme Court Justice Elyakim Rubinstein held a first round of meetings on Wednesday with the parties involved in the Hadassah Hospital crisis, as part of a court-ordered mediation process.
Rubinstein met first with the parents of the hospitalized children, who stated after the meeting that the former justice was "very attentive" to their claims. "We cannot disclose any further details, in honor of his request and in order for the process to be successful," the parents said.
"Rubinstein has asked us to end our hunger strike as a gesture," they added. "We thanked him for his concern for our health and said we would give an answer by 6 p.m., hoping that all sides will make gestures of goodwill so we can resolve this crisis as quickly as possible."
Rubinstein later met with representatives of the Ministry of Health, as well as the resigning doctors and Prof. Zeev Rotstein, the CEO of the Hadassah Medical Center.
