Four Israelis were hospitalized in serious condition Thursday night at Wolfson Hospital after apparently taking a poisonous drug. The four arrived at the hospital, anesthetized and intubated. The Israel Police has launched an investigation into the incident.

The four people between the ages of 20 to 40, live in various places throughout the center of Israel. The police suspect they may have taken fake drugs and issued a warning against the use of such drugs that could be life-threatening.

This past June, a 20-year-old woman was found dead in her home in Yagel after taking drugs. A preliminary investigation revealed that the drugs had been given to her and that another person who appeared to be with her at the time, had fled the scene. A 38-year-old man suspected of being involved in the woman's death and supplying her the drugs was tracked down and arrested in Rishon LeZion.
