A 51-year-old cyclist was killed on Saturday morning after being hit by a car on highway 4 near Kfar Haim.

An MDA paramedic said she saw the victim lying unconscious near a car with a shattered windshield. "We performed a number of medical tests on him, but the injury was too severe and we had no choice but to pronounce him dead," she said.

Earlier, two teenagers from Nazareth were killed after crashing into the traffic barrier, apparently as a result of excessive speeding.

During the night, a motorcyclist was killed after hitting a vehicle in Rehovot. Two women were injured in the crash.
