A 4-year-old girl from the unrecognized Bedouin villages near the Negev’s Tel Arad was rushed to an emergency room in Arad after she was apparently forgotten in a car. She was pronounced dead by doctors at the emergency room.

The girl was unconscious when she arrived at the emergency room. After her death was reported, a police investigation was opened.

“When we arrived at the clinic, we saw a girl about three and a half years old who was warm, unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing,” said Magen David Adom paramedic Boris Mento. “We were told that she was locked in a car for a long period of time. Along with the medical team at the scene, we tried to resuscitate her but we had no choice but to pronounce her dead shortly thereafter.”
