On Tuesday, 23-year-old Staff Sergeant Shilo Siman Tov was laid to rest after succumbing to the injuries he suffered in a deadly car accident on Route 6 last week. Two of his friends, Staff Sergeant Bar Yakubian and Staff Sergeant Eshto Tespo, were also killed in the crash.

After Siman Tov passed away on Monday evening, his organs were donated to six different patients in hospitals throughout the country. Among the recipients was a 59-year-old man, who received Siman Tov’s heart at the Sheba Medical Center. An 11-year-old boy treated at Haifa’s Rambam Medical Center received one of Siman Tov’s kidneys. A two-and-a-half-year-old girl at Schneider Children’s Medical Center received a liver lobe from him.

“Shilo was a person [dedicated] to giving and volunteering in his life, and in his death, he saved lives,” Uzi Siman Tov eulogized his son after the transplants took place.
