Watch: Chaos erupts in Haredi neighborhood as police arrest suspects

16 Haredi men were arrested on Friday in Jerusalem’s Mea Shearim neighborhood on suspicion of attacking undercover officers dressed as IDF soldiers. One of the suspects, a 13-year-old boy, was seen being dragged away from the scene with cuts on his head and face.

The arrest of a 13-year-old Haredi boy on Friday in the Mea Shearim neighborhood in Jerusalem was caught on camera. In the video, an undercover police officer is seen using force in order to arrest the boy. The boy is then seen being dragged away from the scene as he bleeds from the face and head.

During a police operation in the neighborhood today, 16 Haredi suspects who attacked or threw objects at undercover police officers dressed as soldiers were arrested. The operation was carried out as part of the Israel Police’s mission to bring the attacks against Haredi soldiers to an end.

As the police forces were arresting the suspects, dozens of residents gathered in the area. They started throwing stones at the police officers and shouting derogatory slogans.
