Two days after it was reported by JOL that a 43-year-old man was rescued from a shed where he was held for over a decade in one of the unrecognized Bedouin villages in Southern Israel, a similar incident was reported by Channel 2 News today (Thursday). A 34-year-old man was discovered in chains inside a shed in the Bedouin village of Hura. The man was evacuated to a local hospital for medical attention. The local police department started investigating the incident and took the man’s brother in for questioning.

The neglected man was found in the shed after the local welfare services received information indicating that a man was being held there in chains. Welfare officials estimated that the man had been held in the shed for a long period of time. The man’s family claims that he is violent and mentally ill.
