Draft-dodgers return to military prison in luxurious limousine

The Jerusalem Faction of the ultra-Orthodox Lithuanian community decided to send the two draft-dodgers who were released in order to celebrate Passover with their families back to prison in a celebratory way—in a luxurious limousine.

After they were temporarily released to enjoy the Passover Seder with their families, the Haredi draft-dodgers returned to the IDF’s Prison 4 to continue their sentence in a luxurious limousine.

Yisrael Meir Toledano and Tzvi Dov Friedman were released on Monday so that they could celebrate the Passover Seder with their families. The Jerusalem Faction of the ultra-Orthodox Lithuanian community decided to turn their return to the military prison on Tuesday night into a parade. The faction leaders decided to reserve a large and luxurious limousine to transport the draft-dodgers and their families.

Over the past few weeks, widespread Haredi protests in support of the draft-dodgers have been carried out. During some of the protests, young Haredi men blocked off the access to main roads in various cities throughout the country. Recently, the Jerusalem Faction stated that it intends to disrupt the traffic near Ben-Gurion Airport over the Passover holiday.
