Family sues El Al after 11-hour nightmare flight without electricity, entertainment system

After spending 11 hours on a plane without electricity, the Zoref family is suing El Al. “We never imagined that this was how the flight was going to be, that the plane would be so old, not working and unfit [for flying],” Ehud Zoref told Channel 2 News.

Ehud Zoref and his family were excited when they arrived at Ben-Gurion Airport ahead of their vacation in Thailand. However, they never imagined that their El Al flight from Tel Aviv to Bangkok would be a nightmare: 11 hours without electricity and in-flight entertainment. In light of their horrible experience, they have filed a lawsuit against the airline.

“We never imagined that this was how the flight was going to be, that the plane would be so old, not working and unfit [for flying],” Zoref told Channel 2 News. “A flight that lasted 11 hours without electricity, without the ability to read a book or watch movies because the entertainment system wasn’t working.” When contacted by Channel 2 News, El Al confirmed that it has received the lawsuit.
