Court hands down 16-year sentence to female terrorist convicted of attempted murder

An Israeli court sentenced a female terrorist who slightly injured an Israeli woman in a stabbing attack to 16 years in prison. The terrorist was convicted of attempted murder.

Today (Monday), an Israeli court sentenced a female terrorist to 16 years in prison. The terrorist was convicted of attempted murder for carrying out a terror attack in Rosh HaAyin last April. According to the plea deal that the terrorist signed, she will pay 100,000 NIS in compensation to the woman who was slightly injured in the attack.

“The defendant, an Israeli citizen, decided to kill Jewish people as part of the deadly wave of stabbing attacks and for several months, she planned and evaluated the various possibilities to achieve her goal,” stated the prosecutor. “She took two knives and waited for a random Jewish victim in the Rosh HaAyin industrial park and then she saw the complainant and started to stab her again and again.”

The incident occurred in the beginning of April 2016. The terrorist is a 23-year-old Kafr Qasim resident.
