IDF Brigadier General (Ret) Ofek Buchris, who is being convicted of sex offenses but will not be serving a prison sentence, was obligated to write a letter clarifying that he was not confessing for the sole purpose of receiving a lesser sentence. “Following different publications, I will clarify that my confession to the indictment is full and I take full responsibility for the actions described in it,” Buchris wrote today (Thursday) in his letter.

The letter was one of the conditions outlined within the plea bargain Buchris signed. Besides taking responsibility for his actions, Buchris renounced his associates’ statements regarding the complainants.
