Ben-Gurion Airport security teams discovered a gun in the bag of an Israeli passenger. The man was taken in for questioning. He was eventually released and allowed to continue to his destination.

Security teams at Ben-Gurion Airport followed emergency protocols last night (Sunday) after a gun was discovered in the bag of a 61-year-old Israeli passenger who was on his way to London. The Israeli man was taken in for questioning. He was then released and continued to his destination.

The gun was discovered during the security check that is conducted at the airport by X-ray machines. After questioning him, the Israel Police determined that the Israeli passenger was not a security threat and allowed him to board his flight.

Last night, an Israeli citizen who was taken in for questioning at an airport in Uzbekistan 12 days ago was released and boarded a flight back to Israel. He was on his way from Israel to Thailand and had a layover in Tashkent. However, bullets were discovered in his personal bag at the airport in Uzbekistan. The Israeli was released but not allowed to continue to Thailand.
