Over the past several days, a number of requests have been made to the wife of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from parents and MKs Ayelet Nahmias-Verbin and Yehuda Glick, asking Sara Netanyahu to intervene in order to help the hospitalized children in the Hemato-Oncology Department of Hadassah Medical Center.

Following the requests, Sara spoke with MK Glick and told him that she asked to meet with Health Minister Yaakov Litzman in an attempt to resolve the crisis. The affairs started following the resignation of all the department's doctors due to a dispute with the director-general of the hospital Prof. Zeev Rotstein.

Following the conversation with his wife, Netanyahu decided to intervene in the crisis and suggested organizing a meeting between the doctors and Litzman, who already agreed to show up. The doctors’ haven’t yet responded to the offer.

Earlier today, Rotstein held a press conference together with the new team of doctors that he appointed to the department. “Let us work,” he said. “We are doing the best that we can.”
