Haifa: Thousands protesting the Ammonia tank, schools closed

This morning, approximately 3,000 people arrived at a protest of the Ammonia tank in Haifa. Meanwhile, 8 local cities and towns have shut down schools until 12 PM as part of the protest.

This morning (Sunday), 3,000 people are protesting while Haifa Group is appealing the decision to empty the ammonia tank. Meanwhile, 8 local cities and towns in Haifa have shut down schools until 12 PM as part of the protest.

The protesters are carrying signs saying: “The people demand to get rid of the ammonia.” Last week, the national students' council has announced that local cities and towns will be joining the protest by shutting down schools.
