Israel Police: Haredi protesters might target Jerusalem MarathonAccording to the Israel Police, Haredi protesters might try to disrupt tomorrow’s Jerusalem Marathon after the arrest of a draft dodger last week. Hundreds of police officers have been assigned to the event in order to ensure the safety of the participants and spectators.
Ahead of this year’s Jerusalem Marathon, which is set to take place tomorrow morning (Friday), the Israel Police announced that serious security measures will be taken in order to ensure that safety of the thousands of runners. According to the Israel Police, Haredi protesters might attempt to disrupt the marathon as part of their fight to get a Haredi draft dodger who was arrested last week released.
Hundreds of police officers have been assigned to the event in order to make sure that the participants and spectators are safe. The police officers will be at their assigned posts hours before the marathon is set to kick off.
