The Israel Police decided to completely shut down East Jerusalem’s Sultan Suleiman Street and all the stores located along the street today (Monday). The Israel Police arrived at this decision in light of the terror attack that occurred near Herod’s Gate earlier today in the Old City.

Sultan Suleiman Street is considered one of East Jerusalem’s main roads. The decision to shut down the street and close all the stores along it means that the store owners will suffer. It also means that the public transportation in this area of the city will suffer.

The road will be shut down starting this evening. There is a possibility that the decision will still be in effect tomorrow. There is also a possibility that the Israel Police arrived at this decision because a nighttime run is schedule to take place in the city tonight.
