“During the manhunt and the search, I entered the home and suddenly, the terrorist jumped on me with the knife,” he continued. “I shot him several times and neutralized him.”

The terrorist, 17-year-old Ahmed Ghazal from Sebastia, stabbed two young Israeli men. One of the victims was moderately injured while the other sustained minor injuries. Israeli rescue forces arrived at the scene and evacuated the victims to the Hadassah medical centers at Ein Kerem and Mount Scopus.

After the terror attack, police closed off the access to the Old City gates. As a result, several clashes broke out near the city’s Damascus Gate. Dozens of young Palestinians threw rocks and Molotov cocktails at police officers. The officers used tear gas in order to disperse the rioters.
