The Magistrates’ Court in Haifa decided to prolong the arrest of three suspects who were arrested tonight (Friday) during a brawl in which a young man in his 20’s was murdered. The suspects include a groom, his father and his friend who were celebrating the groom’s wedding at a restaurant in Pardes Hanna near the scene of the brawl.

Last night, Magen David Adom medics and paramedics were summoned to the scene of the brawl in order to provide treatment to a man in his 20’s who sustained several stabbing wounds. They evacuated him in critical condition to the Hillel Yaffa Medical Center, where the doctors were eventually forced to declare his death.

Meanwhile, the suspects’ attorneys denied the allegations against their clients and claimed that they had nothing to do with the man’s death. “The groom is not in good condition. This was supposed to be the happiest day of his life,” they stated. “Now he has been arrested and handcuffed for an offense which he claims he had nothing to do with because the deceased was his close friend.”
