Israel Police determined to recommend indictment against Netanyahu in graft probe

The Israel Police is determined to recommend that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu be indicted for accepting bribes, fraud and breach of trust. The report comes just a few days after testimony was gathered from Australian billionaire James Packer regarding the graft investigation.

A few days after it was reported that Australian billionaire James Packer was questioned about Case 1000, Channel 2 News revealed that the Israel Police is determined to recommend that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stands trial for accepting bribes, fraud and breach of trust.

Packer was questioned by Australian investigators who were briefed by their Israeli counterparts and is not considered a suspect in the graft investigation. The Israeli authorities had been debating whether to consider Packer a suspect and question him under caution over the past few months. However, it was eventually decided that testimony would be gathered from him with his permission. According to reports, Packer fully cooperated with the investigators, who received the relevant questions from their Israeli counterparts.
