An Israeli citizen who entered the Palestinian village of Abu Dis on Friday was attacked by a group of about 200 Palestinians. The attackers threw stones and set fire to the victim’s vehicle.

Palestinian security forces came to the area and protected the Israeli until IDF and Border Police forces arrived and removed him from the village. The victim sustained minor injuries and two Palestinian security officers were reportedly injured.

It is currently unclear whether the Israeli came to the village deliberately or by mistake. The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said the incident is being investigated.
