Shlomit Malka, a well-known 23-year-old Israeli model, was critically injured on Sunday morning in Tel Aviv after she fell off her electric scooter. Magen David Adom paramedics rushed to the scene and transported her to Ichilov Hospital. She sustained a head injury and is currently sedated and on a respirator. Malka’s husband, Israeli actor and model Yehuda Levi, is at the hospital by her side.

“When we arrived at the scene, we saw on the side of the road on the sidewalk a young woman about 23 years old laying on the ground,” said a paramedic. “We gave her life-saving medical treatment that included medication and anesthesia and we evacuated her urgently to the hospital while her condition was defined as difficult and unstable.”

After she arrived at the hospital, Malka underwent a series of tests and was then transferred to the Intensive Care Unit. The manager of the unit stated: “The medical team is still conducting tests, hoping that her condition will gradually improve in the coming days, but her life is not in danger.” Investigators who arrived at the scene searched for a helmet but did not find one, which could explain why Malka sustained such a serious injury.

Malka has appeared in major international campaigns for L'Oreal, Ralph Lauren, Maybelline, Chanel, Schwarzkopf and more. She lives in Tel Aviv.
