A 33-year-old Turkish citizen was arrested on Tuesday evening on the suspicion of kidnapping his 4-year-old daughter by taking her to Turkey. According to police, the father promised the girl’s mother that she would return to Israel within a few days but he landed at Ben-Gurion Airport without her.

Two weeks ago, an Israeli woman complained that her husband, a Turkish citizen, kidnapped their daughter by taking her to Turkey. The father allegedly refused to bring the couple’s daughter back to Israel. It is suspected that the father made up an excuse for his travels to Turkey and at the last minute, it was decided that the mother would stay in Israel. He promised to return with their daughter within a few days.

The mother, who did not suspect a thing, agreed. However, the father then called from Turkey and told his wife that if she wants to see her daughter again, she will have to come to Turkey. Once the suspect landed in Israel without the girl, he was arrested.
