Shooting attack at 3 locations in Jerusalem: 2 murdered, 5 injured

A shooting attack occurred this morning in Jerusalem at three different locations. A police officer in his 30s and a woman in her 60s were murdered by the terrorist. In addition, 5 people were injured in this terror attack. The terrorist was eliminated by Israeli security forces.

2 people were murdered and 5 more were injured today (Sunday) in a shooting attack that occurred at three different scenes in Jerusalem. The terrorist was eliminated by security forces.

At around 10:15 AM, the terrorist arrived at the Ammunition Hill Jerusalem Light Rail station across from the Israel Police National Headquarters from the direction of the city’s French Hill. Near the police headquarters, he shot a woman in her 60s.

The terrorist then continued driving fast and shot another woman who was in her car. After shooting his second victim, he continued driving through the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood. The terrorist stopped when he saw that police officers were chasing him. The terrorist then opened fire on the police officers, critically injuring one of them. The other officers shot and eliminated the terrorist.

Magen David Adom teams arrived at the scenes and transported the wounded to Shaare Zedek Medical Center, Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital and Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital. Two of the wounded, the woman in her 60s and the police officer, were in critical condition but succumbed to their wounds at the hospital. Three other victims are in moderate condition and another three sustained minor injuries. In addition, four other people suffered panic attacks due to the shooting attack.

According to the reports from the Arab new agencies, the terrorist is a 39-year-old Silwan resident. Hamas quickly responded to the shooting attack, calling it “a brave act.” It is important to stress that Hamas did not claim responsibility for the terror attack.
