The victim of Friday's stabbing attack on the Jerusalem light rail has been identified as Hannah Bladon, a 21-year-old exchange student at the Hebrew University. Bladon came to Israel for a three-month period and was supposed to return to the UK in the summer.

Earlier it was reported that the terrorist, 57-year-old Jamil Tamimi, was neutralized by a police officer on leave who was on the train with his family. "I'm a police officer even when I'm not on duty," the officer later said.

Tamimi, a resident of the East Jerusalem Palestinian neighborhood of Ras al-Amud, reportedly suffers from mental health issues and has tried to commit suicide in the past.
