In pictures: Lag B'Omer celebrations throughout Israel

On Sunday evening, hundreds of bonfires burned throughout Israel in order to celebrate Lag B'Omer. Children gathered around the fires in order to roast potatoes and marshmallows.

On Sunday evening, children throughout Israel gathered in order to light the traditional Lag B'Omer bonfires. While the actual holiday began on Saturday night, the Israeli Education Ministry decided to postpone the nationwide school vacation by one day, moving it from Sunday to Monday, in light of the requests from the Haredi and religious sectors.
