On Wednesday, an Israeli court sentenced Saadi Ali Abu Hamed, the terrorist who carried out the brutal ax attack in Ma’ale Adumim in February 2016, to 30 years in prison. Tzvika Cohen, a security guard at the mall where the attack took place, was critically injured by the terrorist.

Cohen was found in the mall and rushed to a Jerusalem hospital by a Magen David Adom team. The terrorist entered the mall before it closed and hid in the complex. He attacked Cohen, who was unarmed, after all of the shoppers had left. The ax was found shortly after the attack when the security forces were searching for the terrorist.
