Watch: Man lost in Sea of Galilee found alive and wellAfter many hours of searching, the Israel Marine Police Unit was able to locate the 35-year-old East Jerusalem resident who went swimming and disappeared in the Sea of Galilee. He was found alive and well 2 km away from Gofra Beach.
Early this morning (Saturday), Israel Marine Police forces located the 35-year-old man from East Jerusalem’s Silwan neighborhood who disappeared yesterday in the Sea of Galilee. Searches for him began after he went into the water from Lebanon Beach with a kayak and never returned.
At 8:30 PM yesterday, a group of 30-year-olds reported to the Sea of Galilee Authority at Kursi Beach that their friend had entered the water at about 4:00 PM in a kayak and never returned. Searches after the man began in the sea and on land. At about 1:30 AM, the missing person was found alive and well 2 km away from Gofra Beach.
