Suspicion: Man tried to murder his wife and to commit suicide

According to the suspicion, a resident of Beersheba tried to stab his wife and to set her on fire. After he failed to cause her death, he set himself on fire in front of a city courthouse and is presently in critical condition.

A resident of Beersheba set himself on fire today in front of a city courthouse and is presently in critical condition. Earlier on, he tried to stab his wife and to set her on fire although he did not succeed to seriously harm her.

The police are expected to ask tonight to extend the detention of the suspect, who is believed to be involved in another violent incident within the city recently.

This incident comes after a 27-year-old man was stabbed to death in Ben-Gurion Park in Kiryat Malachi. 2 other teenagers were injured in the incident. The police opened an investigation into the incident and forbade the publication of additional details about the incident.

The murder occurred around 3:00pm. Rescue forces came to the area and found a 27-year-old in critical condition. Magen David Adom arrived to the area in order to provide medical treatment and to evacuate the wounded man to a local hospital but he died from his injuries. However, the 2 injured teenagers were evacuated to a local hospital.
