Police arrest members of a drug trafficking network

An Israeli woman who was being used as a drug mule arrived in Israel with more than 6 kilograms of hash and 700 stamps of LSD blotting paper. Police questioned her at the airport and told her to contact the man who gave her the suitcase in which the drugs were hidden. Police detectives accompanied her to the planned meeting spot and arrested six additional suspects.

More than 6 kilograms of hash and 700 stamps of LSD blotting paper were discovered in the suitcase of an Israeli woman, who was being used as a drug mule, when she landed at Ben Gurion Airport. The police officers instructed her to continue to the planned meeting spot so that they can arrest additional suspects. Six additional suspects were arrested for drug trafficking.

The drugs were hidden in the sides of a suitcase the woman was carrying. The woman, who is in her 30s, was traveling from Berlin to Israel. The Israel Police received information about the woman prior to her landing. Thus, officers waited at the airport gate in order to search her belongings.

The woman said during her interrogation that the suitcase belongs to an acquaintance of hers and that he asked her to bring it to Israel. The woman also said that she was instructed to call the acquaintance once she landed in Israel in order to meet up with him.

The police officers asked the woman to contact her acquaintance and set a spot to meet. Police detectives accompanied her and arrested six additional suspects.
