Exclusive: Arnon Milchan 'softens' version in bribery probe involving NetanyahuThe US-based Israeli businessman is now claiming to have sent Benjamin and Sara Netanyahu gifts of smaller value than he previously admitted to. This makes the testimony of Australian businessman James Packer extremely crucial.
US-based Israeli businessman Arnon Milchan, a key witness in the bribery investigation involving Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has changed his version significantly, Channel 2 News reported exclusively on Wednesday.
The report stated that Milchan's most recent testimony was vastly different from the one he gave police in November, mainly in that he is now claiming to have sent Benjamin and Sara Netanyahu gifts of smaller value than he previously admitted to.
In light of this development, the Ministry of Justice has decided not to dismiss the testimony of James Packer, an Australian businessman from whom Netanyahu is also suspected of receiving illegal gifts.
On Tuesday, reports emerged that police is likely to recommend an indictment of Netanyahu in the case.
