Milchan's testimony strengthened fraud, bribery suspicions against NetanyahuLaw enforcement officials are claiming that the testimony of Israeli businessman and billionaire Arnon Milchan significantly strengthened the fraud and breach of trust allegations against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. On Tuesday night, it was reported that Milchan was questioned under caution in London on suspicion that he bribed Netanyahu.
Channel 2 News has learned that while he was being questioned under caution in London on suspicion that he bribed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli businessman and billionaire Arnon Milchan significantly strengthened the fraud and breach of trust allegations against the Israeli leader. In addition, law enforcement officials are claiming that Milchan's testimony has paved the path for an indictment against Netanyahu for allegedly accepting bribes.
Milchan is not expected to stand trial for bribing Netanyahu. The police investigators questioned him under caution in order to prove that he had a clear personal interest in the steady supply of valuable items with which he provided the Netanyahu family throughout the years.
About four months ago, the prosecutor assigned to the case, Liat Ben-Ari, said that aside from determining the value of the gifts, it is important to find out how Milchan benefited from the exchange. Recently, Israeli Justice Ministry officials said that Milchan's interests have been uncovered, meaning that in exchange for the gifts he gave the Netanyahu family, the Israeli prime minister assisted Milchan with his businesses in Israel and abroad.
