Niv Nehemiah, who was seriously injured in the Yavne terror attack last week, remains hospitalized at Kaplan Medical Center. On Sunday, he regained consciousness after his medical condition improved. Today (Tuesday), his parents issued a statement, thanking the public for the love and support: “You guys are keeping us strong.”
“We want to thank the Almighty, the beloved nation of Israel and the prime minister for the words of strength and the many prayers for Niv’s recovery,” Hadassah Nehemiah said. “Thanks to Doctor Carlos and the medical team at Kaplan Medical Center, my son is improving with every day that goes by.”
Earlier today, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Nehemiah at the hospital. “Niv is a hero,” Netanyahu said after the visit. “He just charged at the terrorist, who was full of hate and armed with a knife, with his bare hands and stopped him. He prevented [what could have been] a large tragedy.”
“We are all praying that he will recover,” Netanyahu added. “I saw him with his family and it just warms the heart. I’m wishing him well and hugging him in the name of the entire State of Israel.”
