Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s son Yair is under fire after controversial tapes obtained by the Israel News Company were released on Monday. “My dad arranged $20 billion for your dad,” Yair is heard saying to the son of Kobi Maimon, an Israeli businessman associated with the gas deal.

The conversation was recorded as Yair and two of his friends were leaving a Tel Aviv strip club and discussing strippers, escorts, the gas deal and of course, the secrecy of the conversation. They were most likely drunk as they cursed at a driver and spoke ill of women.

“Bro, you have to give me credit – my dad made your dad an awesome deal and fought in the Knesset for it,” Yair is heard saying to Maimon’s son. “Bro, my dad just arranged a $20 billion show for you and you can’t even give me 400 NIS [about $116]?”

These tapes are especially significant due to the fact that the remarks were made when Israel was enraged over the gas deal in 2015. At the time, Israeli Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon announced that he was forbidden from dealing with the matter due to his friendship with Maimon. However, it seems that Netanyahu's son was a close friend of Maimon's son while the gas deal was being discussed in the Knesset.
