Netiv HaAsara resident: “Hamas never said that it would stop digging”Yesterday, it was reported that Hamas possesses at least 15 terror tunnels. While many were shocked by this statement, the residents of the area near the Gaza border were not surprised to hear this news: “Hamas never said that it would stop digging.”
After it was reported that an Israeli security cabinet member said that Hamas possesses at least 15 active terror tunnels, the heads of the regional councils near the Gaza border stated that they believe that the Israeli security establishment has learned many valuable lessons from Operation Protective Edge.
“We have confidence in the government and the military that they will learn from the findings of the [State Comptroller’s] report and continue to forcefully deal with the tunnel issue in order to protect the residents along the Gaza border,” said Sdot Negev Regional Council head Tamir Idan.

We see and hear it [the digging] from here.”
