Thousands of ultra-Orthodox extremists protested in Bnei Brak on Thursday following a court's decision to toughen the punishment of a community member who dodged his IDF draft.

The protesters, who belong to the hardline Jerusalem Faction, blocked parts of Highway 4, one of the main highways in central Israel. 30 people were arrested after clashes erupted between protesters and police forces.
