Sara Netanyahu has been questioned once again by the Israel Police today (Thursday) in regards to the Prime Minister’s Residence Affair. In May, the Israel Police recommended that the prime minister’s wife stand trial. Two weeks ago, Gil Sheffer, the prime minister’s former chief of staff, was questioned under caution in regards to the affair. Today, it was cleared for publication that Sheffer is being investigated for sexually assaulting a woman.

About six months ago, the Israel Police recommended that Sara Netanyahu stand trial after investigators gathered a substantial amount of evidence against her. In addition to the prime minister’s wife, the Israel Police claimed that investigators gathered enough evidence to charge the residence’s electrician Avi Fahima and Deputy Director for Operations at the Prime Minister’s Office Ezra Saidoff.
