Rafael Advanced Defense Systems engineers have taken another step in their fight to get the company’s management to agree to a new collective agreement regarding their employment conditions. Last night, all of Rafael Advanced Defense Systems’ trials in Israel and abroad except for those being conducted at the David Leshem center in northern Israel were canceled.

First report: Last night (Wednesday), all of Rafael Advanced Defense Systems’ trials in Israel and abroad except for those being conducted at the David Leshem center in northern Israel were canceled. This development is part of the Rafael employees’ protest against the crisis that has emerged with the company’s management due to their current employment conditions.

This announcement was made after the negotiations between the engineers’ union and the management committee hit a deadlock. The union and committee, which consist of over 1,500 Rafael employees, announced a labor dispute that was approved by the Histadrut three weeks ago and last week, the 14-day cooling-off period came to an end.

“We are prepared for a long and difficult fight,” said the head of the engineers’ union committee in charge of the campaign. “The employees in whose name we are protesting carry on their shoulders the great responsibility of the country’s security and preserving the citizens’ peace of mind.”

“We have no intentions of conducting a dialogue with the union via the media outlets,” the company said in a statement.
