Police have arrested two brothers from the southern-Israeli Bedouin town of Rahat, who are suspected of burning their sister to death in her home. The incident is suspected as an honor killing.

On February 24, police were reported about a fire inside a house. They rescued a 19-year-old woman in critical condition, who died in the hospital two days later.

Mohammed Shurbaji, 23, was arrested after an eyewitness said he had seen him come out of the apartment on the day of the fire. His older brother, Khalil, 25, was arrested for allegedly assisting Mohammed in getting rid of evidence.
